Part 1, shows Army rescue maneuvers by dog sled at Helena, Montana, and a ski-tractor being tested in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. Part 2, B-17's fly through flak to bomb Berlin. The pilots hold a press conference on their return to England. Part 3 shows stockpiles of war materiel for the invasion of Europe. Part 4, troops test uniforms. Part 5, Gen. MacArthur, speaking in Australia, pledges to return to the Philippines. He reviews troops in the Solomons-New Guinea area. Mrs. MacArthur christens the Australian destroyer, Bataan, in New South Wales. Mrs. Roosevelt reviews troops with Gen. Shedd at a Caribbean base. Part 6, U.S. servicemen hold a rodeo in Brisbane, Australia. Part 7, a disabled veteran speaks on conservation.

William Edgar Shedd (b. Feb. 25, 1885, Danville, Ill.-d. Dec. 2, 1953), Major General in the U.S. Army, was commissioned in the Coast Artillery Corps from West Point in 1907.
